Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser

The Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser is probably my favourite skin base to use at the moment, which is something I didn’t think I’d be saying this year- especially with how angry my skin can be.

Over the past couple of months, I’ve noticed my skin change, its still oily, however I’m finding that I have have dehydrated and sometimes dry patches all over my skin. My chin is breaking out awfully. Spots on the chin are often linked to hormones, and I have only started properly suffering them in the past couple of months. I’ve also found that my two go to foundations (Nars Sheer Glow and Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation) aren’t settling into my skin so well. My skin feels dry in certain patches minutes after I apply, combined with my oily t zone and forehead that eats the foundation like there was never really anything there, I’m feeling so conscious of how dull my face looks.

I’ve been using the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser for a couple of months and I can honestly say its probably the only thing (apart from my Urban Decay Concealer) that isn’t making me think my skin looks bad. I don’t have to ‘cake’ this base on my face or majorly blend in order to feel like I don’t look like a plastic doll. My concealer works wonders with this base and compliments it so well without it looking like there are clumps of concealer and nothing else on my face.

Lightweight but build able, natural and glowy, I can’t recommend this base enough. I only use a tiny amount and it is more than enough coverage and product for my face. I would say to anyone who has oily skin to also use a powder and top up in the middle of the day, as I often find it can make my face go a little bit shiny throughout the day. I wear the shade porcelain for reference.

I never thought with my skin as bad as it can get that I’d feel so comfortable wearing such a light base, and to conclude this little review, this is a staple item that won’t be leaving my make-up collection any time soon.
