The British Tag

Today I am doing a very fun tag that the lovely Sammi from Beauty Crush created- the British Tag! I have my tea at the ready so let’s begin!

      1.     How many cups of tea do you have a day? + How many sugars?
Depending on the day, 1-2, tea is the only hot drink I drink and I don’t have it very often! And no sugar, just as it comes with a little bit of milk!

     2. Favourite part of your roast?
Potatoes. Easy.

3. Favourite dunking biscuit?

Chocolate Digestive, not an obvious choice but its yummy!

4. Favourite quintessentially British pastime?

Getting some Fish and Chips and either eating them on a wall overlooking the sea or at home watching a good bit of reality TV!

5. Favourite word?

Currently indecisive. I love these types of words for the way it can make someone sound slightly more intelligent or knowledgeable!

6. Cockney rhyme slang?

Living closer to Cornwall than London, I don’t really know any apart from ‘Apples and Pears = Stairs’ and ‘Ruby Murray = Curry!’, even though I have been London a few times I literally only learnt them from Eastenders!

7. Favourite sweet
Not much of a ring to it...
This is literally the worst question ever, sweets are my weakness and I could literally live off of them!  I love squashies, mints, chocolates, truffles, I literally am the worst person to answer this question as I literally like all of them!!

8. What would your pub be called?

Oh god, I have never really thought about this but the first thing that popped into my head was ‘The Pear and Pauper’- don’t ask!!!

9. No.1 British person

This is really difficult for me as I am so patriotic!! I absolutely adore the Royal Family, particularly Wills & Kate, The Queen and Beatrice and Eugenie! I love people with an obvious English accent such as Colin Firth and Helena Bonham Carter, so yeah, if you’re a true Brit chances are I love you.

10. Favourite shop / restaurant?

When in London its Harrods/ Covent Garden. I know Covent Garden is cheating but I adore the atmosphere, it’s literally my favourite part of the UK. Harrods is just spectacular and magical and I am desperate to go there near Christmas! I live in Plymouth so there isn’t really anything that is obviously British/ well known.

11. What British song pops into your head?

So the first thing that popped into my head was ‘God Save the Queen’, along with ‘Sing’ the song that Gary Barlow wrote for the Queens Jubilee. After this I then remembered the Vicar of Dibley’s theme tune- ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’, I don’t know why but I think it was the British country side that reminded me!

12. Marmite.

Can’t stand it! A few years ago my friend tricked me into eating marmite chocolate telling me it was chili chocolate and I almost threw up! It left an awful after taste all day and generally it’s disgusting.
And that’s it for the British Tag!
Let me know your favourite things about being British!
Beki x
