Aurora Inspired Make-Up Tutorial

Okay, since is primarily a beauty blog, it made sense that there would be the odd tutorial here or there, so throughout July there will be four different Disney princess inspired looks available to see! This look is very simple and I often wear similar if I am having a lazy make-up day.

*Please ignore my skin at the moment, it got better, then worse, I am doing my best to cover my spots without over doing it in each tutorial.*

Starting with Aurora, known from Sleeping Beauty, and more recently Maleficent (old blog post link!).

After doing my morning skincare, I primed my face with the Body Shop, All in 1 blur BB cream, as this helped even out my skin, in my opinion it has a funny texture, and would prefer to use something similar like Porefessional from Benefit.

I then used two concealers too cover up redness and spots on my face, using the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1 Fair and the MAC Prolongwear concealer in NC15 to do so. I buffed these in using a Real Techniques Buffing Brush.

Then came eyes, I decided to leave my eyebrows natural for this look, so went straight on to shadow, using three colours from the Naked 3 Palette (Light, Burnout and Buzz)from Urban Decay, as well as Midnight Cowboy from Urban Decay evenly blended across the whole lid for a natural but gleaming lid. I then took the Accent brush from Real Techniques and Carbon from my MAC quad to draw very thin liner across my lash line, just to make my eyelashes look a little thicker. For a mascara I used the Max Factor Masterpiece MAX on top and bottom lashes.

And then for what I call finishing touches, I re-applied some collection concealer before applying my powder, which is the MAC Skinfinish Natural in Light, and finally for my lips I applied Tanya Burr’s lipgloss in Aurora (it was an obvious choice- Lipgloss post!)

Okay so this is the finished look!

Hope you enjoyed reading! Next Disney Princess Look be up on the 10th.
